OK, so maybe they weren't always that cool… but the toys were! A new endeavor brought him from Hasbro in Cincinnati, to WizKids Games in Seattle where he learned the art of miniature sculpting with Warner Brothers, Marvel, DC Comics and the company's own IP, "Mage Knight." Upper Deck Entertainment and then Blizzard Entertainment in Southern California helped him further hone his traditional sculpting abilities. Joe, Star Wars and whatever new cool movie was about to hit the theaters. Then just an intern, he got to work on projects such as Jurassic Park, Batman (movies and animated), G.I. He soon realized he was a better toy sculptor than graphic designer, which was proven when he landed a job at Hasbro in 1998. He started out as a graphic designer, graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University. James Carter is a self-taught artist and art director.
